KingFisher Apex

KingFisher instruments automate extraction of DNA, RNA, protein, and cells by moving magnetic beads (not liquids), leading to clean extractions and enabling consistent results. Using a simple process (bind, wash, elute), KingFisher instruments can automate the extraction of any analyte of interest with a bead on it.

Kingfisher Apex is a new high-throughput sample purification system for automating nucleic acid, protein and cell purification. With a touchscreen display, allowing full control of the instrument to modify, create, and run the protocols. Downstream the purification process with dual and interchangeable magnet heads and with multiple formats (large to small volume ranges).

KingFisher Apex also aquipped with dual ultraviolet (UV) lamps to perform decontamination process to eliminate most bacterial and viral contaminants, ensure safety. In addition, KingFisher Apex can be connected to ThermoCloud for greater access and control. Conveniently save, transfer, or download protocols from (virtually) anywhere, using a cloud library, Local Area Network (LAN) file locations, USB, or even scan the barcode from kits. Generate run reports in PDF or XML format for ease of run tracking and LIMS incorporation.
